13. How much should I pay for an executive law attorney?

Anywhere between $250 and $500 per hour.

The hourly rates charged by executive law attorneys vary widely depending on experience, stature in the legal community and the region of the country where the lawyer is located.

Some executive law attorneys offer flat fees for the evaluation of a separation agreement or employment contract, and a consultation on the documents. A pre-determined flat fee may be an attractive way to obtain needed legal advice without the worry of hourly fees moving beyond expectations.
